Minister of Health Dr. Jane Ruth Aceng Visits Ngetta Catholic Parish, Reaffirms Commitment to Development

  Lira, Uganda – January 6, 2025 Dr. Jane Ruth Aceng Ocero, the Lira City Woman MP and Minister of Health, visited Ngetta Catholic Parish on January 5, 2025, praising the community for their unity, faith, and dedication to development. After attending mass at the Holy Martyrs’ Cathedral, Dr. Aceng engaged with catechists, religious leaders, and parishioners, pledging her continued support for the parish. She expressed gratitude for the overwhelming support during the 2021 general elections, where she triumphed with 35,054 votes. The Minister appealed for renewed support in the upcoming 2026 elections, promising further development initiatives for Lira City. Dr. Aceng donated UGX 500,000 to the clergy and UGX 3 million to the Women Guild of Ngetta Parish, who reaffirmed their backing for her leadership.
