Grow more rice in the second Rain, Hon. Dr. Agnes Atim Apea Woman Member of Parliament Amolatar Urge farmers of Amolatar.

  Hon. Dr. Agnes Atim Apea Commonly known as “ IMAT OCERE (MAMA RICE) ” has urged farmers to plant more rice in this second rain that is presumed to begin in A ugust. Dr. Agnes Atim Apea is the founder and the initiator of rice growing in Amolatar District  and the current Woman Member of Parliament of Amolatar District . In her effort to lift the economic income of her people of Amolatar District, Hon. Dr Agnes Atim Apea has availed farmer s  with access to tractors to support farmers  in Amolatar District in cultivating their rice garden. In an interview today, the Woman MP urge her voters to use this second rain to plant more rice since rice market is already available in the district through Hope Development Initiative. She further  urged farmers not to deviate a way from growing rice since the benefit s  is huge and can support the local farmers with quick money which can help them support their children at school and also support the families in acquiring basic needs and improve

Amolatar District Police Quell Unauthorized demonstration in Namasale, locals burnt houses, and Businesses burnt down

  Amolatar District Police have thwarted an unauthorized demonstration organized by locals in the Namasale area of Amolatar District. The protest was in response to allegations made by Miss Katushabe Juliet, an administrator of an estate believed to belong to the late Kawaki Nafutali, a former resident of Bungu cell in Namasale Town Council, Amolatar District.  Miss Katushabe claimed ownership of the land, equivalent to 100 acres which was allegedly occupied by Mr. Okello Moses from Bungu cell. The disputed land has remained vacant since the tribal conflict in 1979. Through her legal representation, Eyotr & Co. Advocates located on Makerere Hill Road, Mirembe House 3rd floor, she wrote to the chairperson of Bungu cell, requesting a meeting with the community members who have occupied the land to engage in a dialogue today July 17, 2023.  However, this proposal did not sit well with the local residents, leading them to organize an unlawful protest while awaiting the arrival of Miss

Oyam Engola Okello Junior has been confirmed the NRM party flag bearer for the Oyam North by-election. The primary election result was declared on Saturday 17 th .June. 2023  by the NRM party leaders has proved Okello Engola Junior as the party flag bearer for Oyam North after beating Queen Dorothy Amolo who declined to step down even after the NRM party spoke to her. In the election results declared by NRM electoral commission chairman Dr. Tanga Odoi, at Marioshoni primary school in Oyam district; Engola Okello Junior garnered 532 votes (62.3%), beating Queen Dorothy Amolo who got 322 votes (37.7%). The party leaders held a meeting with all the aspirants who were convinced to step down for Engola Junior. Among those who stepped down are; Otto Billie, Julius Peter Moto, Alfred Okello Obaro, and Abangakene Augustine. A group of women canvassing support and popularising UPDF General Muhoozi Kainerugaba (MK) has launched its nationwide activities aimed at mobilizing Ugandans to rally behind MK at an appropriate time when he seeks a mandate to lead Uganda. Muhoozi has on a number of times expressed interest to lead Uganda. Judith Mukidi Basemera, the chairperson of the 13-member group dubbed AGOJIE said the umbrella welcomes all women supporters and well-wishers of the MK movement. Ashwini Vaishnaw said there had been an error with the "electronic interlocking" - a system that manages the tracks and signals sequencing using sensors and feedback. "Whoever did it and how it happened will be found out after proper investigation," he added. At least 275 people died in the accident and nearly 1,200 more were injured. The death toll had been higher but was revised down after officials found some bodies were counted twice. Suspected witch house set on fire in Kaberamaido district

  By: @SmartAmbroseUg (0772572261) Amolatar Northern Uganda Clan members of Alwa B village in Alwa sub-county, Kaberamaido district have set fire to all the houses of a man only identified as Eddu. The clan members accused Mr. Eddu of practicing witchcraft and bewitching people in the village. This accusation came after the LC 1 Chairperson of Alwa B village Mr. Ogol Joseph fell sick about two weeks ago and he is still seriously ill. Eddu was last week beaten by The son of the LC 1 Chairperson of Alwa B village only identified as OPIGE CHARLES and left with serious injuries later he was rushed to Kaberamaido Hospital for treatment. However, the clan members this morning woke up with a lot of hunger and took Mr. Eddu to the LC 3 Chairperson of Alwa sub-county who advised them not to take Law by their hands but later they went ahead and set fire to all his houses this evening and even wanted to end his life. By this time Eddu had taken off in order to save his Life from the angry mob

Woman sets herself on fire, kills six members of her family in the process

Mariam Mukankubito has already been identified by authorities. According to Wamala Regional Police spokesperson Rachel Kawala, “On Thursday, Mukankubito spent a night indulging in alcoholic beverages with other family members at her own expense. At around 3:56 a.m. (Friday), while still inside the house with others, she locked the door with padlocks, doused herself in gasoline, and set herself on fire. The fire spread throughout the entire house, killing six people and injuring five others.  Pamela Namubiru, aged 7, and Patrick Kisakye, aged 2, were also killed in the event in Musalaba Village in Masode-Kalagi Town Council.
