Hon.Dr.Agnes Atim Apea-PHD, Woman Member of Parliament Inspects a Multi billion NEXUS solar plat Project in Amolatar District

Hon. Dr. Agnes Atim Apea-PhD, the Woman Member of Parliament of Amolatar District yesterday Saturday 21.05.2023 inspects the ongoing work to install the Solar plant in Amolatar District. The work that is being done by Nexus Green MWE Project.

Nexus Green, an Innovative Solar Energy company that specializes in designing, supplying, manufacturing, and delivering affordable solar-powered solutions that reduce carbon emissions and provide cheaper cleaner energy was contracted by the government to design, supply and install solar-powered water systems under the solar-powered water supply and irrigation system project in Amolatar District 

This project is a government-led project purposed to increase Agricultural productivity among the locals of Amolatar District and prosperity and better social life, for Ugandans and the people of Amolatar., through the construction of solar-powered water supply and irrigation systems in Uganda

The project came into existence following its approvals by the Parliament of Uganda and the UK export finance (UKEF) in September 2019 and February 2021, respectively.

Dr Apea carried out a monitoring visit on a pilot solar project site in Namasale Town Council, Amolatar District yesterday, a project undertaken by Nexus Green MWE project. she witnessed the good work done so far. She elaborates that upon completion there will be the provision of solar energy solutions to the people of Amolatar.
