Amolatar District Mourns the Iconic Grace Edweo: A Pioneer Who Shaped Local Politics and Development

Amolatar District is mourning the passing of Grace Edweo, a trailblazer in local politics and a dedicated leader. Grace, who was the first councilor in the district during its earlier days as part of Lira District, played a pivotal role in shaping the political landscape of Amolatar.

She passed away on Tuesday, 19th November 2024, leaving behind a legacy of service and commitment. Among her notable contributions was her effort in the early 2000s to collaborate with other council members to foster the development of Aputi Sub-county in Amolatar District.

Grace Edweo will be laid to rest on Saturday, 23rd November 2024, at her ancestral home in Amirimiri Ward, Amolatar District. The burial ceremony is scheduled to begin at 10:00 AM.

The community of Amolatar remembers her as a dedicated leader whose hard work and vision left a lasting impact. May her soul rest in eternal peace with the angels.
