Lira City MP Dr. Jane Ruth Aceng Ocero Supports Lango Pilgrims

May 29, 2024, Lira City MP and Minister of Health, Dr. Jane Aceng Ocero, provided support to the pilgrims from Lango Diocese. Represented by her political assistants Zena Opolot and Moto Ronald Tobby, along with her personal assistant, she delivered various food items and drinks to the Catholic pilgrims at their stopover in Kasana Luweero Diocese. This followed an earlier provision of medical supplies and first aid as they departed from Lira City.

The pilgrims expressed their gratitude to Dr. Aceng for her selfless leadership and care, extending her support beyond her constituents to all Lango pilgrims. 

The Lango pilgrimage includes over 1,000 Christians from the districts of Lira, Apac, Oyam, Kole, Alebtong, Otuke, and others. Dr. Aceng has similarly supported Protestant pilgrims currently at Matugga Church of Uganda.
