Hon. Dr. Jane Ruth Acheng Ocero Appointed as Lango Sub-region Coordinator for Patriotic League of Uganda

 

In a significant development for the Lango Sub-region, Hon. Dr. Jane Ruth Acheng Ocero, the esteemed woman member of parliament for Lira City and Uganda's Minister of Health, has been appointed as the Lango Sub-region Coordinator for the Patriotic League of Uganda. This appointment was made by General Muhoozi, the Chief of Defence Forces (CDF).

Dr. Acheng, known for her exemplary service in the health sector and her dedication to public service, is expected to bring a wealth of experience and leadership to her new role. Her appointment is seen as a strategic move to enhance the political and developmental initiatives in the Lango Sub-region.


Joining Dr. Acheng in this new leadership team are several notable figures from the region:

Joe Omara from Amolatar District has been appointed as the Secretary. Omara's extensive experience in administration and community development will be pivotal in supporting the coordination efforts.


Oyite Emmanuel will serve as the Publicity Secretary. Emmanuel is expected to leverage his communication skills to promote the league’s activities and enhance its public image.

  

Hon. Tony Ayo, a respected member of parliament, has been appointed as the Deputy Lango Sub-region Coordinator. Hon. Ayo’s role will be crucial in assisting Dr. Acheng and ensuring the smooth execution of the league's programs.




Hon. James Olobo Dubai, the MP for Kioga North, has been tasked with supporting elder responsibilities. Hon. Olobo Dubai’s experience and wisdom will be invaluable in engaging the elder community and addressing their concerns.

General Muhoozi's appointments are part of a broader strategy to strengthen the Patriotic League of Uganda's presence and effectiveness in the Lango Sub-region. The new team is expected to foster unity, drive development projects, and enhance the socio-economic well-being of the residents.

The people of Lango and the National Resistance Movement (NRM) are optimistic about these appointments, anticipating a period of dynamic leadership and positive change. Dr. Acheng and her team are set to begin their duties immediately, focusing on key areas of mobilization.

This appointment marks a significant milestone for the Lango Sub-region, promising a future of enhanced governance and development under the capable leadership of Dr. Acheng and her dedicated team.
