Construction of Akii Bua Stadium in Lira Set to Begin

Today, Lira Resident City Commissioner Mr. Lawrence Egole welcomed a team of contractors and consultants who have been entrusted with the construction of the highly anticipated Akii Bua Stadium. This event marks a significant step towards the realization of a state-of-the-art sports facility in the heart of Lira.

The arrival of the contractors and consultants signifies that only a few more paperwork formalities remain before construction can officially commence. Mr. Egole expressed his gratitude for the unwavering support of His Excellency, President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, whose commitment to enhancing the sports infrastructure in Uganda has been instrumental in bringing this project to fruition.

Mr. Egole acknowledged the President’s vision and dedication, which have paved the way for this transformative development. The Akii Bua Stadium is expected to not only serve as a premier sports venue but also to bolster local sports talent and foster a sense of community pride.
