George Abudul Supports Over 500 Pregnant Mothers in Erute South, Lira District for Safer Deliveries

George Abudul, a prospective candidate for the 12th Parliament of Uganda representing Erute South on the NRM ticket in 2026 general election, has recently demonstrated a strong commitment to improving maternal health in Erute South. Abudul's latest initiative involved providing essential support to over 500 pregnant women in Erute South, Lira District, focusing on safer delivery practices.

Recognizing the crucial role women play in nurturing life and maintaining family well-being, Abudul has prioritized engaging with expectant mothers. His recent efforts emphasize preventive health and wellness visits, aiming to offer screenings, risk assessments, family planning support, immunizations, counseling, and educational resources to promote optimal health.

During his interactions with the women, Abudul stressed the importance of regular prenatal appointments to monitor pregnancy, perform necessary screenings, and address potential complications to reduce maternity mortality. He urged the women to adopt healthy practices, monitor their health, and consult healthcare professionals frequently for guidance on pregnancy-related care, including managing conditions such as hypertension, diabetes, and obesity.

In support of these efforts, Abudul distributed essential items such as mama kits, delivery basins, soaps, and towels, further enhancing the preparedness of expectant mothers for safe and healthy deliveries. This initiative underscores his dedication to advancing maternal health and his broader commitment to serving the community.
