Hon. George Abudul Launches Support for VSLA Groups in Erute South

In a recent initiative aimed at addressing community needs, Hon. George Abudul, Hopefully the Member of Parliament for Erute South in 2026, has begun supporting Village Savings and Loan Associations (VSLA) within the constituency. Following thorough consultations he did recently to understand local needs, Abudul's initiative will benefit 45 VSLA groups by providing them with savings books designed to enhance their ability to track savings effectively.

This effort aligns with President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni's emphasis on wealth creation as a strategy to eradicate poverty and improve living standards. Speaking to Lango Times, Hon. Abudul highlighted that his interactions with constituents have informed various approaches to support youth, women, and the elderly. He emphasized that improving the quality of life in Erute South requires providing livelihood opportunities, which he is now actively working to implement.

The VSLA savings booklets will be distributed soon, and are expected to significantly enhance the savings records of these groups, contributing to their financial stability and overall community development.
