Women in Lira City Show Appreciation for Hon. Dr. Jane Ruth Acheng Ocero’s Medical Camp

Lira City and its surrounding areas are abuzz with praise for Hon. Dr. Jane Ruth Acheng Ocero, whose ongoing medical camp at Akibua Stadium is making a significant impact. The camp, which is providing free medical services to women in the region, has attracted over 10,000 attendees. 

In an interview with Lango Times, many women expressed their deep gratitude for this initiative. They highlighted the camp's importance in improving their access to essential healthcare. 

The event has drawn numerous medical professionals from across Uganda to Lira City. One doctor remarked that Lango should take pride in having Dr. Acheng Ocero in the Ministry of Health. He noted that her presence ensures a better understanding of the local community’s needs and expressed pride in the large turnout. The medical team is committed to ensuring that every patient receives thorough screening and treatment.

Dr. Acheng Ocero is also anticipated to address various community challenges in Lira, including visiting women’s groups and supporting local activities. Following the medical camp, she plans to provide an accountability update to the people of Lango Sub-region on Radio QFM and Voice of Lango, detailing her parliamentary activities and contributions.

The medical camp is set to conclude with Dr. Acheng Ocero’s closing remarks, underscoring her dedication to improving healthcare and community well-being in the region.

  1. These services are suppose to be a routine in the first place and absolutely free. Its the governments responsibility. However, thisis a good gesture.
