208 Women Receive Health Services at Ober Health Centre IV, 68 to Undergo Surgery with Support from Hon. Minister Dr. Ruth Aceng Ocero

Lira City, 28th July 2024 – In a remarkable display of community health support, 208 women in Lira City have received essential health services at Ober Health Centre IV on Monday. This significant initiative is further bolstered by the upcoming surgical procedures for 68 women, scheduled to commence on Monday, 5th August 2024, and continue until 9th August 2024.

Speaking to Lango Times, the organizing committee for this big event elaborated that, The surgeries and overall health support are made possible through the tireless efforts and backing of Hon. Minister Dr. Ruth Aceng Ocero. Dr. Aceng, known for her dedication to improving healthcare in Uganda, has once again demonstrated her commitment to the well-being of her constituents in Lira City.

In another engagement with a member of the organizing body he quoted; "I am proud to announce that 208 women in Lira City have benefited from the health services provided at Ober Health Centre IV. Furthermore, 68 women are being prepared for surgeries that will begin next week," said the organizing body. "This initiative underscores our ongoing efforts to enhance healthcare access and quality for the people of Lira City."

The surgeries aim to address a variety of medical conditions that require urgent attention and would cost an individual over 5,000,000/= to be manage but through Dr Jane, these women will receive free health services, this is aim at ensuring that the women of Lira City receive the necessary care to lead healthier lives. The preparation and execution of these procedures have been meticulously planned, with healthcare professionals working diligently to ensure the best outcomes for the patients.

The support from Hon. Minister Dr. Ruth Aceng Ocero highlights the importance of accessible and quality healthcare for all, especially for the rural women who often face unique health challenges.
