OTUKE DISTRICT : In response to the National Policy on Disability 2023, and in light of statistics indicating that 22.1% of the population in the Lango region faces difficulties in walking and climbing steps, a significant initiative was launched this afternoon. The RDC of Otuke district, along with the ARDC, Otuke East MP Hon. Julius Acon Bua (NRM), and Otuke Woman MP Hon. Since its inception in 2018, the National Day of Physical Activity has been a significant initiative by the NRM government under the health sector. Man Survives Lynching After Stealing Chickens Amolatar Town Council

  Mr. Okai Tom narrowly escaped being lynched by angry residents of Amolatar Town Council this week after he was caught stealing six chickens. The incident occurred in the middle of the week, during a rainy night, as Okai attempted to steal the chickens from his brother, Mr. Otee Innocent. According to eyewitnesses, Okai was seen making his way towards the Namasale Ferry with the stolen chickens, intending to sell them outside Amolatar District. The theft was discovered early in the morning, and residents quickly mobilized to track him down. Upon apprehension, the enraged community members began to mete out instant justice. However, local authorities intervened just in time to save Okai from being lynched. The police escorted him to the nearest station, where he is currently being held for further investigation and legal proceedings.
