Hon. Morish Ogwal Encourages Amolatar Youth to Focus on Economic Empowerment

Hon. Morish Ogwal, the councillor representing Awelo in the Amolatar District local government and a candidate for the LCV seat in the 2026 elections, has called on the youth to remain focused on economic activities to improve their economic status.

In a recent address, Hon. Ogwal urged the youth in Amolatar to take advantage of various economic empowerment projects introduced by the government and non-governmental organizations (NGOs). He highlighted the importance of engaging in productive economic practices to build a better future for themselves and their communities.

"The youth are the backbone of our future. It is essential that they engage in economic activities that can uplift their status and contribute to the district's development," said Hon. Ogwal. He emphasized exploring opportunities in agriculture, small-scale businesses, and vocational training programs available in the district

Hon. Ogwal also warned the youth against engaging in detrimental activities. He advised them to stay away from bad groups, avoid redundancy in trading centers, and refrain from participating in robbery and other criminal activities. "It's crucial to resist the temptation of quick and illegal means of making money. Focus on sustainable and legal economic practices that will benefit you and the community in the long run," he stated.

As the 2026 elections approach, Hon. Ogwal's message resonates with his broader vision for Amolatar District a vision centered on youth empowerment and economic development. His call to action aims to mobilize the young population towards constructive engagement, ensuring a prosperous and secure future for all.
